National Reading/ Digital Reading Month Celebrations

The Govt. of Kerala has been celebrating June 19^th as the day of reading and the following week as the reading week for the past 25 years in memory of the late Dr. P.N. Panicker, father of the library movement of Kerala. This initiative commenced 19^th June 1996 in collaboration with P.N. Panicker foundation. Library K.V. Rangapahar Cantt. Celebrated the Reading day of Reading and the Month of reading Month (19^th June 2020- 18^th July 2020) through performed variety of reading related activities through online.

My Book My Friend Campaign

On the occasion of World Book Day 2020, ‘My Book My Friend’ campaign was launched by Human Resource Development minister Shri. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to encourage students to keep reading books continuously. Under this programme K. V. Rangapahar Library initiated Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) Challenge was conceived to install reading habit among the students & staff members and make the whole society dedicated sometimes for reading on every day, keeping everything aside.

Face a Book Challengers

Face a Book (FaB) Challenge is a reading and information literacy (IL) programme to promote reading habit and develop information literacy skills among teachers and students. There were 24 teachers and 209 students participated in this campaign with reading books and also submitted book reviews.
